Sycamore Tree Capital Partners

Sycamore Tree Capital Partners is a value-oriented, active, durable-alpha credit manager that looks to produce strong and consistent investment returns to investors using its deep experience across both traded and private markets, with a particular focus on U.S.-based corporate credit.  Mark Okada (co-founder) has 30+ years of experience as one of the leading investors and innovators in the loan market and was the co-founder and CIO of Highland Capital Management from 1993-2019.  The firm’s vision is to become a $10Bn+ AUM specialist manager built and operated on the principles of client-focus, integrity, passion, excellence, and teamwork.  The primary strategies of the company include collateralized loan obligations (CLO), structured/liquid credit, special situations, and other strategies that management expects to add over time.  HFI and another local family office helped launch Sycamore Tree as sponsors; HFI is a member of the company’s advisory board.
